Anthony Morris III - example to the flock - example to the elders
by LogCon ini find it curious that so many are offended at the comments used by anthony morris iii.. when he publicly states that colourful socks, tight pants and spanx are not part of a christians life, he is teaching a lesson.
the lesson for the flock is not to wear colourful socks, tight pants and spanx.. however,.
the lesson to all the congregation elders is to ensure that these lessons are driven home in their respective congregations.

the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.
" my source already saw several scenes from it and said, "it looks and feels like a cinematic movie.

"But even if you get the spelling right, and write manger, Jesus still wasn’t born in one, even if the story in the Gospel of Luke was literally true.
A manger is a feeding trough. And nowhere in the story does it suggest that Mary gave birth in a feeding trough."

I accidently clicked onto it on my e-mail site, and it had some neatly categorized info that I had never before seen in that particular arrangement.

How To Be Subversive While Knowing TTATT And Stuck Inside The Watchtower Corporation Confines?
by frankiespeakin inso you found out it is all bs but due to family and friends you don't want to be disfellowshipped and shunned.
you have to go to these rediculous meetings maybe even engage in corporation sponsored magazine drives to get the propaganda into the homes of your neighbor in hopes of making another corporation zombie mystified by childish magical thinking, of a jealous deity that wants you to work for the corporation finacial interest or else die for your lack of corporation loyalty.. it is a stressful sitiuation with all kinds of trip wires one has to beware of in order not to be heading into some back room kangaroo court where obediance to the almighty corporation is the bottom line, and a fair hearing of the facts is last on the list of importance.. one consolation is that one may eventually get friends and family out of this demanding and destructive cult with patients and passage of time.. so what ideas would you like to pass on to readers?
what are some of subversive activities one can engage in while stuck in this nasty bit of mandatory corporation exercises of preaching, selling, and building?.

Oneeyedjoe:
Of course, if you give answers like this, you must be prepared to be sickened by the number of people who come to you after the meeting to congratulate you on how much research you put into it, etc. I just hope that some might be nudged a little out of their slumber.
My experience, exactly, often with my highlighting references from an older publication. Bible, first, however.
Thanks.

Re: mana's post and the picture of the fully-dressed woman in the chair.
Originally she was dressed in night clothes and "awaiting" her husband. He must have been dressed accordingly, but I don't remember. The text dealt with the marriage "due."

When did the WTS begin to require baptismal candidates to answer 2 questions. What were they?
by AndersonsInfo ini need some research done so if anybody has the time, please see what you can find on the subject as stated in the title.. i clearly remember attending my first circuit assembly.
on october 30, 1956, i definitely answered two questions, along with about ten other people including my mother, not at the assembly, but we were standing at the side of a small baptismal pool that was in the basement of a kingdom hall in ronkonkoma, then a small hamlet on long island in the town of islip, suffolk county, new york, united states.. i know for a certainty that in 1945 candidates for baptism were not asked any questions but they were informed through their congregation that there would be a baptism and told where and when it was to be held.
usually the baptism was done at a beach and when candidates showed up in bathing attire, they were dunked, no questions asked.. so sometime between 1945 and 1956 two specific questions began to be asked of candidates.

Hi Barb:
Somewhat after the barn door was left open and the horse got out . . .
Apparently the baptismal candidates were not sufficiently versed in Bible/WT teachings prior to 1975. Brother Knorr announced that the "Lamp" book and its coverage of JW articles of faith (my words) and the follow-up questions would help stem the ongoing problem: 'People are coming into the Truth through the front door and then leaving through the back door.'
Just a side point I recalled after seeing your question. Were you at Bethel prior to that book's publication? I was there circa 1970.
Best.

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

From the other "1914" thread about Brother Knorr and Mouthy:
NONE of us shoule EVER forget about this horrible hypocrisy on the part of the so-called Governing Body.
I personally cannot think of a single other religion that has totally changed (and largely negated their old) doctrines every 25 years throughout their history the way the Watchtower Society has.
This is a tacit admission that things were so wrong that they needed periodic major overhauls, and there is no sign that the overhaul process is stabilizing.
Hence the need to throw away all the old literature. Much of it reads as far from today's JW dogma as something from Scientology would.
